Body Ignite FAQs

Everything you need to know about Body Ignite

Body Ignite

When can I register for Body Ignite?

You can register up to 2 weeks in advance. If you will not be able to attend, please make sure to cancel your attendance. Because of limited space, we will be charging cancellation fees if you fail to cancel at least 1 hour before class. Please do not attend class unless you are officially enrolled.

What is Body Ignite?

Body Ignite is a one-stop body shock. Targeting each and every muscle with specially designed sequences and dumbbells will leave you stronger and more energized. This easy-to-follow strength-based program will increase your metabolism, your athleticism, and your ability to lift, lunge, push and pull everything mom-life throws at you!

The class consists of 4 sections, combining lower body and upper body movements, and ending with core work during each section. Class concludes with a series of mat exercises.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please bring a mat, water, and a set of dumbbells. We recommend a light (5-8 pounds) and heavy set of weights (10-12 pounds), but a single set is fine too.

What will my child do during class?

The City of Tustin is offering free childcare for children ages 3 and under through their Kiddie Gym program. Children will be in a large room right next door to our workout space, with activities, games and toys to keep them occupied. So you can have an hour to focus on YOU!

What if I'm not comfortable with my child going to Kiddie Gym?

That's totally fine, mama! Your child can remain with you strapped safely into their stroller for the entire duration of class. Please note, that this class does not include any stroller movement or fun4baby.

What if my child doesn't stay buckled in their stroller?

For this class, children must remain strapped in their stroller, worn in a baby carrier, or under supervision at Kiddie Gym. If neither of these options work for you, you can still join us at Stroller Strides at 9:30!

What if my child is older than 3?

At this time, there are age limits for Kiddie Gym, but this may change in the future. If your child is currently over age 3, they will need to stay in the stroller with you. If your child is 5 and up, they can sit on a blanket next to you. If children start running around the workout area, you will unfortunately be asked to leave class. This is for the safety of everyone and to limit distractions from moms trying to work out. Please join us for Stroller Strides at 9:30 if your child is unable to attend Body Ignite.

For safety reasons, children are not allowed to walk freely in the moms' workout area.

Why is attendance capped?

Enrollment is limited because of childcare limitations. We may increase the number of people that can attend based on how many children will be utilizing the childcare. Please do not show up to class if you are not registered for class.

Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancies as long as everything has been approved by their physician. Instructors are qualified to lead our professionally designed pre/postnatal fitness programs that follow the latest American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy. FIT4MOM® recommends you obtain your doctor’s approval prior to beginning any workout program.

Exercise during pregnancy has proven beneficial and helps improve or increase the following:

  • Cardiovascular fitness

  • Muscular strength/endurance

  • Energy levels

  • Higher fatigue threshold

  • Posture and biomechanics

  • Circulation

  • Self-esteem, sense of well-being

  • Recovery time

Body Back

Can I bring kids to Body Back?

No. This class is for women 18 and up without children present.

Can I do Body Back if I am pregnant?

No. This workout is not intended for prenatal exercise and we do not recommend following the meal plans during pregnancy. If you become pregnant during the course of your Body Back session, please notify your instructor. We offer FIT4BABY, Stroller Strides, and Stroller Barre as appropriate prenatal exercise programs.

What do I need to bring to class?

A yoga mat or towel for the abs portion and cool down. A resistance band (we will provide one for you on your first day of class), plenty of water, and a towel for your sweat. You WILL sweat!

What is the workout like?

Body Back is a high-intensity interval training class that is delivered in one of three ways: Rounds, Circuit or Traveling. We cycle through Cardio, Strength and Core for a full-body workout that provides a significant caloric afterburn for enhanced results. Every class has an intention and finishes with a relaxing meditation.

Do I need to be in great shape to participate in class?

No. We have all fitness levels in our classes! But, we will warn you ... these classes are designed to be tough! Our goal is to deliver a workout that will challenge any fitness level. It might not be easy, but we promise results by the end of your 8 week session if you put in the work!

What makes Body Back and the Fit4Mom Programs different from the gym?

Body Back is so much more than just another HIIT workout! We are a community of moms where you will find support, encouragement, camaraderie and lifelong friendships. Through education, we help you create a healthier home and more active lifestyle for your family. We believe you should be empowered and encouraged to push past your perceived limits and find inner strength while building physical strength. We strive to build you up and put you first to create your BEST YOU.

Do I need to Pre-Register or can I just show up?

For BODY BACK Transformation sessions, pre-register to ensure your spot in the class. Body Back sessions sell out quickly, so you want to hold your spot by registering early.

For BODY BACK Workout classes or drop-in classes, pre-register so your instructor knows to expect you and can contact you if there are any changes to the class. We require a minimum number of clients to be enrolled in order to offer that class. If you cannot make it to class, you need to cancel with at least 24 hours notice or you will be charged for the class.
